[ picnic on the move ]

In the past three days of the road-trip to California we’ve gotten as far as Salt Lake City. Not too bad right? As you can imagine, my look for the past couple of days hasn’t exactly been the most glamorous; mainly consisting of my People’s Liberation tiny denim shorts and Open Ceremony tank (basically the same as in Reminiscent). I did mix it up a little though, for our rest area picnic in Iowa, by wearing my simple Alice + Olivia dress with a headscarf and nude flats. This particular floral print seems so pastoral and earthy to me that I feel very country-girlish when I wear it. It even triggers memories of when I visited my great-grandmother in the village (of Moldova) when I was a kid. Somehow this print seems quintessentially “granny” – charming and uncomplicated.

What I’m wearing:

  • Silk dress by “Alice+Olivia”
  • Leather nude flats by “Taryn Rose”
  • Silk headscarf (thrifted)
  • Cuban necklace and bracelet (a gift from a friend mom and I made in Cuba; the nicest waiter at the resort)

  1. Awww only you could look so fabulous on a cross continent roadtrip! I want to burn the memory card with photos of me on my cross country roadtrip! Picnic looks great, your outfit looks beautiful and the water picture is awesome! :o)

    1. Thanks Robin. Lol, I'm sure you are just being too critical of it and your pics are cure too. My trip is almost over, I'm so close to San Fran that I can smell it – (lol, it's a smell of mexican food mostly).
