[ havana dreaming ]

I’m back my darlings. I know that I haven’t made a look-of-the-day post in a while but things are getting a little busier with school – mid-semester you know? Today’s post is from my last trip to Cuba. During our second week there, we started feeling a little restless at the resort so we rented a car and drove to Havana for a day. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned this before but I’m crazy about this gorgeous city. As though frozen in time, its atmosphere is potent with history and nostalgic.  The old Russian cars kept triggering memories of Moldova and my grandfather’s Zhiguli. There is something so tragically romantic in its abandoned buildings in need of care and restoration – beautiful in all their imperfection yet still incomplete…always longing for something…more.

What I’m wearing:

  • Silk dress by Tara Jarmon
  • Nude platforms by Marciano
  • Sunglasses by Missoni

  1. Havana, the dress, you… all are very beautiful! I love the colouring in all of these photos. The Tara Jarmon dress works so well with your skin tone; it really looks very elegant.

    1. Thanks sweetie. My mom took the pictures as is usually the case. It rained for about half the day that we were there but as soon as it stopped for a minute, you would see my mom and I running to some interesting spot and snapping shots all over the place. Cubans probably didn’t know what hit them; we must have looked like some extremely eager tourists ;).

  2. I live in Havana and indeed is a beautiful city im happy you enjoyied your stay and speak so beautifully of my city, best regards i hope to see you around again
