colors of tokyo

We’re at that point in our three week program when everyone seems to be needing time to slow down and relax.  We’ve been going a little hard on Japan  – staying out at every opportunity and indulging in whatever a student’s budget will allow. But thankfully today Tokyo decided to stop raining long enough for us to enjoy a quiet day in the park. I recently discovered that when you walk into subway stations here, soothing sound effects of birds chirping start playing –  so as to relax the passengers while they wait for the trains. How sweet is that? Well if that’s what the subway stations have to offer, you can imagine what the parks are like. These pictures were taken at a shopping district on the way to the park.

What I’m wearing:

  • Mini skirt from Forever 21
  • T-shirt (bought in Tokyo in the Ginza area)
  • Sunglasses by Kenneth Jay Lane (last seen in Apr. 19’11)
  • Rose sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti (last seen in June 17’10)
  • Tri-skull cocktail ring by Alexander McQueen (last seen in Oct. 24’10)
